Chapainawabganj: An Awami league activist was hacked to death over previous enmity in Mordana area of Shibganj upazila on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased is Robiul Islam.

Shibganj Police sub-inspector Nur-e Alam said, a group of miscreants attacked Robiul with sharp weapon at about 1:00pm while he was working in his mango orchard, leaving him critically injured.

Rescued by the local people he was rushed to Shibganj upazila health complex.

As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at about 4:00pm.
