Chuadanga: Police held a top-listed drug peddler from the Chuadanga-Darshona road in front of Rashik Shah Majar of Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga in the early hours of Sunday.

The arrestee is Abul Basar alias Pappu Khora, a listed drug peddler.

The Damurhuda Model police said a team of police conducted a drive in the area in the early morning and arrested him.

They also recovered a pipe gun, one bullet and 170 bottles of Phensedyl from his possession.

Basar had been involved in drug trafficking for long, added police.

Three cases were filed in this connection.
