Dhaka: A minor boy died on Tuesday after falling from the rooftop of a fifth-storey building at Maniknagar in Dhaka, police and hospital sources said.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp in-charge Inspector Mojammel Haque confirmed that the deceased is, Abdur Rahman, believed to be five. His father is a security guard of the building.

‘He fell down from the rooftop when he was playing on rooftop at about 5:30pm,’ police quoted victim’s father, who carried his son’s body at DMCH immediately after the accident.

Rahman’s family used to stay on the fifth floor of the building.
