Faridpur: A Faridpur court on Wednesday granted bail to journalist Probir Sikder who was arrested in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology Act.

Probir Sikder was taken to the custody of district commissioner’s court from Faridpur jail in the morning.  

Later, Faridpur Cognisance Court 1 of judge Hamidul Islam granted bail to Probir after his counsel Ali Ashraf filed a bail petition.

Earlier, on Tuesday court remanded Probir Sikdar on 3-day police custody for questioning.

Detective Brach police held Probir Sikder from his Indira road residence on Sunday night. Later, police showed him arrested in a case under ICT act.
