Dhaka: Awami Olama League president Allama Ilias Bin Helali was injured as miscreants attacked him at Dhakshin Gate of Baitul Mukarrom Mosque in Dhaka on Friday afternoon.

Sources at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) said a group of miscreants stabbed him with sharp weapons while he was coming out of the mosque after the Jummah prayer, leaving him injured.

Later, he was rushed to DMCH at about 2:20pm.
