Dhaka: President Abdul Hamid on Sunday morning left Dhaka for London for medical check-up.

A flight of Emirates Airlines carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 10:15am.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, dean of diplomatic corps, cabinet secretary, chiefs of three services and high civil and military officers saw him off at the airport.

Abdul Hamid will undergo medical check-up at Moorfield Eye Hospital and Bupa Cromwell Hospital.

The president is likely to return home on 31 August.
