Barisal: Three people were killed as a bus hit the police constable and an auto-rickshaw in Gournadi bus stand area of Gournadi upazila in Barisal on Sunday morning.

The deceased are Jahid Hossain, a highway police constable, Shahjada Sharif, joint convener of upazila Swechchhasebak Dal, and Siraj Sarder, a local vegetable trader.

The Highway police said the Benapole-bound bus losing control over its wheel hit Jahid and an auto-rickshaw, left him and a passenger of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot and another passenger injured.

The injured died on way to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
