‘International conspiracy behind violence’

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed has said that the ongoing violence in the country is not a movement; rather there is international conspiracy behind this.
‘An official of the Pakistan Embassy was suspended in connection to that conspiracy’ Tofail said on sunday after a meeting of the 14-party at the office of Awami League president at Dhanmondi in capital.
Tofail said ‘Pakistan is spending money in connection with BNP-Jamaat for sabotage in the country. Look at today’s newspapers to get the proof. Pakistan is helping Khaleda Zia to take revenge of their defeat in 1971. They cannot take the development of Bangladesh easily.’
Terming violent activities as militancy, Tofail said ‘There can be no dialogue with militants and criminals.’
The minister said it was right not to give BNP chance to hold rally on January 5. If they got the chance, they would try to do violence and to conspire against the country.
The situation of the country is gradually becoming normal and there was no problem in exporting goods during blockade and hartal, claimed Tofail.
