Zero tolerance to land office corruptions: minister

Pabna: Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif on Tuesday said rigid steps would be taken against frauds, land grabbers and corrupts in the land offices of the country.
He came up with the remark at a meeting arranged by special law enforcement and district development coordination committee at Pabna DC office.
The minister said Land Ministry is showing zero tolerance to corruption in the land management process following the order of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Instructing the law enforcers to take tough steps against illegal drugs business, terrorism and extortionists, he said no matter what party they belong to, lobbying from the terrorists, extortionists and drug dealers will not be tolerated.
He called everybody to assist the law enforcers so that they can prevent the people who create turmoil in the society.
Pabna police super Alamgir Kabir and Paban Medical College principal Sirajul Haque also spoke at the programme with Pabna Deputy Commissioner Kazi Ashraf Uddin in chair.
