BGB man hurt in gunfight with ‘Myanmar separatists’

Bandarban: A member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was injured as a separatist group of Myanmar and the border security force exchanged fire at Thanchi upazila in Bandarban on Wednesday morning.
The injured BGB member is Nayek Jaki of Barakadam BOP, UNB reports.
According to a UNB report, Arakan Liberation Party of Myanmar opened fire at a BGB patrol team at about 9:30am; forcing the BGB members to retaliate that triggered the gunfight in Modok BOP area of the upazila.
A team of Bangladesh Army from Alikadam Cantonment and a BGB team from Bolipara BGB Battalion started for the spot on two helicopters.
