Beanpole (Jessore): Local unit of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has called a 24-hour hartal in the district from Sunday protesting against the crude bomb attack at the houses of some BNP leaders, police assault and filing of false cases against its leaders and activists.

BNP Jessore unit organising secretary Delwar Hossain Khokon announced the hartal on Thursday night.

The hartal will remain in force from 6:00am Sunday till 6:00am Monday.
