Inu backs black money investment in real estate sector
Dhaka: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Saturday urged the authorities concerned not to create any obstacle towards utilizing the scope of whitening undisclosed money by investing it in the real estate sector.
The minister made the remarks while addressing a certificate awarding ceremony among the recipients of ‘Journalist of the Year-2014’ award arranged by Real Estate & Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB).
Inu also underscored the need for introducing a long-term housing loan system for solving the accommodation problem of the low-income people and to build Dhaka as a liveable city.
He urged REHAB to take housing projects in district towns other than big cities of the country.
Inu said REHAB should take some projects so that low-income people can buy flats at low prices and without any hassle.
The minister also urged the organization to give importance to selling flats in such a way so that buyers do not face any harassment after purchase.
Earlier, he handed over certificates and crests to 19 journalists of both the print and electronic media.
Presided over by REHAB president Alamgir Shamsul Alamin, the programme was attended by, among others, REHAB vice president (admin) Wahiduzzaman.
