Dhaka: Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested a woman drug trader with 500 kilogram heroin from Mirpur thana area in Dhaka last night.

The arrestee is Shilpi Begum.

A team of DB police conducted a drive in the area and arrested the drug trader and recovered the 500 kilogram heroin from her procession, a DMP press release said.

Mirpur Model police officer-in-charge confirmed the matter.

In preliminary interrogation, the arrestee confessed that she had been trading heroin for long in the city.
