Sylhet: A joint team of police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive seized a number of equipment used for making fake certificates from Topkhana area in Dhaka on Saturday night.

Being tipped off, a team of police led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Main Uddin conducted the drive in house number 163, of one Bibhash Kanti Das, in the area at about 8:30pm.

The seized equipment included two computers, one laminating machine and three printers.

Police also recovered some fake seals of government and private offices, police clearance forms, fake driving licenses, fake ID cards of different colleges and universities and a number of fake certificates from the houses.

Kotwali police sub-inspector Foyez Uddin confirmed the incident.
