Victim rescued, kidnapper held

Dhaka: Police rescued an abducted garment businessman and arrested an alleged kidnapper from Dhanmondi area in Dhaka on early Sunday.

The arrested abductor is Fuad Mohammad Shah.

Police said the businessman, Sohel, was picked up from ‘Tokyo Square’ of Japan Garden City of Adabar at about 12:30pm on Saturday.

Being informed, a team of Adabar Police Station rescued the victim from the underground basement of Northern International Medical College Hospital of Dhanmondi at about 4:30am on Sunday, said officer-in-charge of the police station Gazi Ruhul Imam.

Police also arrested Fuad Mohammad Shah from the spot, the OC added.
