Dhaka: Detectives arrested six suspected members of a counterfeit money syndicate and seized forged currency notes worth about Tk 1.20crore from the capital’s Mirpur area on Monday night.

The law enforcers also recovered various tools used in producing fake notes from their possession.

The Dhaka Metropolitan police said members of the Detective Branch (DB) arrested six suspected members of counterfeit money syndicate from Mirpur.

Identities of the arrestees could not be known immediately.
