Natore: Mmebers of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) recovered the body of a minor boy, who was missing from 25 August, from an abandoned septic tank in Alaipur area of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased is Mohmmad Tanvir, 11, a student of Ashraful Ulum Madrasah.

Rab sources said two senior students of the madrasah Bayezid and Hossain and their friend Naim called Tanvir to their room at the night of 25 August.

They slaughtered Tanvir and kept his body in the septic tank.

Later, they demanded TK 5 lakh as ransom money from Tanvir’s father.

Tanvir’s father filed a general diary in this connection with Sadar Police Station and informed Rab.

The members of Rab-5 arrested Bayezid by tracking his mobile phone.

After interrogation Bayezid confessed his involvement in the murder and gave information about two other murderers.

Following his information, the elite forces recovered the body from the septic tank at about 11:30am.

They also arrested Hossain and Naim in connection with the murder.

Lt Col Mahabub Alam, commanding officer of Rab-5, said the accused were influenced by an Indian TV serial to commit the crime.
