3 Bangladeshis killed in UAE road accident
Dhaka: Three Bangladeshis were killed and two others were injured in a road accident in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday morning.
Bangladesh Embassy Abu Dhabi Counsellor (Labour) Armanullah Chowdhury said over phone the deceased are Mohammad Farhad, Mohammad Elias and Akter Hossain.
The former are from Rauzan upazila and the latter from Hathazari upazila in Chittagong district.
Two of them died on the spot and another on way to hospital, said the official.
The vehicle carrying the Bangladeshi workers crashed into a roadside establishment at Al Khajna of Abu Dhabi at about 7:00am local time after its driver lost control over the steering, said the official.
The injured are Belal and Saiful and are admitted at a local hospital.
The embassy officials have already talked to the families of the victims in Bangladesh and the bodies would be sent back home after necessary formalities.
