Dhaka: Two passengers killed when their CNG-run auto-rickshaw was hit by a bus at Kakrail in Dhaka in the early hours of Thursday.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Local people said an Econo Paribahan bus from Paltan hit the CNG-run autorickshaw as the bus driver lost his control near Hotel Rajmoni Isha Kha at about 4:00am. The accident left two passengers of the auto-rickshaw died on the spot and the driver injured.

The injured auto-rickshaw drive was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The bus driver and his assistant flee from the scene after the accident.
