Dhaka: A man died after he was caught between two buses while attempting to board one of them near Jatrabari crossing in Dhaka on Sunday morning.

The deceased is Abul Kalam, 45.

The Jatrabari police, quoting witnesses, said Kalam was trying to get into a bus on the east side of Shahid Faruk Road near Jatrabari crossing at about 8:30am.

Suddenly, another bus came to the spot and he got squeezed in between the two buses, said police.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead at about 9:00am.

The body was kept at DMCH morgue for an autopsy.

Jatrabari police seized two buses in this connection.
