Dhaka: Expatriate help desk has been introduced at Police Headquarters to avert harassment of migrants and ensure their safety.

From now expatriate can inform their problems through sending email at expatriatehelp@police.gov.bd and contact over 01769-690019 and get assistance.

‘About 80 lakh Bangladeshis are staying different countries in the world. They send their hard-earned money to the country. Bangladesh gets remittance from their money. But they face problems in different times. Even, they become victimised after coming in the country,’ Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Haque told reporters at a press conference at the Police Headquarters here.

Superintendents of Police were asked to help the expatriates inside the country, he added.
