Dhaka: A Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) mobile court seized 51 types of unregistered medicines worth around Tk 10 lakh from the pharmacy of Apollo Hospital and fined the posh hospital Tk 16 lakh on charges of selling the unapproved medicines on Tuesday.

According to the RAB headquarters said a RAB-1 team along with executive magistrate Firoz Ahmed conducted the drive at the hospital of Bashundhara Housing area in the city at about 2:00pm.

During the drive, the law enforcers identified 51 types of medicines, which were not approved from the Drug Administration. Later, the unregistered medicines worth around Tk 10 lakh were seized and the hospital was fined TK 16 lakh for selling the medicines.
