Tangail: Two people were killed and four others were injured in a head-on collision between two trucks at Kudimdhalla in Mirzapur upazila in Tangail in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased is Joynal Abedin, a cattle trader, and Jamshed Ali, a truck driver, both was residents of Brahmanbaria district.

The Gorai Highway police said a cattle-laden truck from Jhenidah collided head-on with a Sirajganj-bound goods-laden truck from Dhaka at about 5:30am, leaving the duo dead on the spot and four others injured.

The injured were taken to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital.
