7 busted over PSC question paper leak

Dhaka: Detective Branch (DB) Police arrested seven members of a gang involved in question paper leaking from different areas in the city.

Some question papers, answer sheets, admit cards and Tk 50,000 were recovered from their possessions during the drive conducted on Sunday.

The detectives arrested them in connection with leaking question papers of written test for the post of Deputy Assistant Engineer under Public Service Commission recently.

The arrestees are Md Niamul Hasan alias Saikat, Md Harun-ur-Rashid, Md Delwar Hossain, Md Ramzan Ali, Md Rubel Ahmed, Md Jasim Sikder alias Rana and Md Akbar Hossain.

DB sources said based on secret information, a DB team conducted a drive at Sher-eBanglanagar High School at around 2:00 pm Saturday and arrested Saikat, Md Harun-ur-Rashid and Md Delwar Hossain.

Following their statement, the detectives raided Kallyanpur West Point Hotel and arrested Rubel and Ramzan at about 5:00pm and later arrested Jasim Sikder from Banglamotor area.

The DB team also arrested Akber from PSC area at about 5:00 pm on Sunday.
