Dhaka: Aman Moudud, the only son of BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed, has been put on life support in a city hospital as his condition turned critical following dengue fever.

He is likely to be taken to Singapore by an air ambulance from United Hospital at night.

Moudud’s personal assistant Shahidul Islam said Aman has been kept on life support as his condition turned critical.

He said a medical team of the hospital suggested taking him abroad for better treatment.

Shahdiul said all the arrangements have been made to bring an air ambulance to take Moudud’s son to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore at night.

The air ambulance is likely to arrive in Dhaka at about 10:00pm, he added.  

On September 9, Aman Moudud, 38, was admitted to the United Hospital with fever and doctors diagnosed him with dengue.  

One of Moudud's chamber juniors wishing anonymity said Aman’s condition deteriorated early Monday after taking antibiotic for dengue fever and then put on life support.
