Moudud’s son dies
Dhaka: Aman Mumtaz Moudud, the son of BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed, died in the early hours of Tuesday.
He breathed his last at about 4:30am when he was being flown to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore by an air ambulance from United Hospital in Dhaka said the BNP chairperson's press wing member Sairul Kabir Khan.
Moudud's chamber junior Ehsanur Rahman said Aman’s body has been kept in the mortuary of the Singapore hospital.
Earlier, Aman was kept on life support in a city hospital as his condition turned critical following dengue fever.
He was taken to Singapore by an air ambulance from United Hospital.
Moudud’s personal assistant Shahidul Islam said on Monday Aman has been kept on life support as his condition turned critical.
He said a medical team of the hospital suggested taking him abroad for better treatment.
On 9 September, 38-year-old Aman Moudud was admitted to the United Hospital with fever and doctors diagnosed him with dengue.
One of Moudud’s chamber juniors wishing anonymity said Aman’s condition deteriorated early on Monday after taking antibiotic for dengue fever and then put on life support.
