Faridpur: Police arrested a young man for allegedly violating a minor girl at West Khabashpur in Faridpur on Tuesday afternoon.

The arrestee is a resident of Poradia Village in Nagarkanda upazila.

Maternal uncle of the victim said the girl was admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital as she had developed a tonsil in her throat.

On Monday afternoon, a nurse of the hospital took the girl to her house, near to the hospital, for taking a bath.

At that time, brother of the nurse raped the girl, leaving her unconscious.

Later, when the girl regained her sense, she informed the matter to her family members.

Kotwali police officer-in-charge Najim Uddin Ahmed confirmed the incident saying they visited the spot after the incident.
