Kishoreganj: Bodies of two young men, who went missing after an engine-run boat capsized at Chakuria fen in Ashtogram upazila in Kishoreganj on Tuesday, were recovered on Wednesday morning.

The deceased are Aftab, and Sohel, both residents of Ghaghra village in Mithamaim upazila.

The Ashtogram police said local people spotted the bodies of Aftab and Sohel floating in Chakuria Haor at about 7:30am and called police.

Earlier, an engine-run boat carrying about 100 passengers, including Aftab and Sohel, sank in the fen while the boat was going to Kuliar Char upazila from Ashtogram at about 9:00am on Tuesday.

The duo went missing after the incident while others managed to swim ashore.
