Keraniganj: A man was arrested from Kotwali area of the capital on Thursday in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a young widow at Shubhadya in South Keraniganj upazila.

South Keraniganj police officer-in-charge Manirul Islam said a team of police arrested Salam from Kotwali area of the capital at about 11:30pm.

Earlier, the widow was gang-raped by the arrestee and his three friends at Shubhadya on Wednesday night.

The victim filed a case against the four with South Keraniganj Police Station on Thursday morning.
