Bullet-hit cattle trader dies
Thakurgaon: Another Bangladeshi cattle trader, who was shot by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Chapsar border in Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon, died at an Indian Hospital on Saturday.
The deceased is 35-year-old Mobarak, a resident of Magura village at Bhaturia union.
Mobarak died while undergoing treatment at Raiganj Hospital in Dinajpur of North India around 10 days after receiving bullet.
The Haripur police quoting Dinajpur Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) said Mobarak’s body was supposed to be handed over at about 11:00pm on Saturday. However, the Indian hospital did not hand over the body yet as the autopsy delayed.
Police said the body of Mobarak will be handed over to BGB and Haripur police on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier, on 9 September, two cattle trader, Mainul and Mobarak, were shot by members of 22 BSF Battalion at Kamarhat camp.
Among the injured, Mobarak was held by BSF and admitted to Raiganj Hospital while Mainul fled from the spot.
Mainul’s relatives admitted him to Thakurgaon Modern Sadar Hospital and later he was shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
On 16 September Mainul died undergoing treatment on the hospital.
