Dhaka: The main Eid congregation of Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims, will be held at the National Eidgah, adjacent to the High Court Mazar, at 8:00am on 25 September.

In case of rainy weather, the congregation will be shifted to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at about 8:30am.

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayed Khokhon in a meeting on Eid preparation at South City Corporation building at about 11:00am on Monday announced the schedules.

The DSCC mayor also talked with the law-enforcers during the meeting.

He said the authorities have already completed 90 per cent of the preparation.

The city corporation, for the first time, introduces 328 animal slaughtering spots. Among the spots, DSCC will directly take care of 224 spots, said the mayor.
