NTV celebrates third successful year in 2006

Dhaka: Bangladesh’s first automation-based private satellite television station International Television Channel Ltd (NTV) celebrated its third anniversary on 3 January 2006 with a call for serving country.
With the slogan ‘Somoyer Sathe Agamir Pothe’ (heading towards the future with time) holding Bangla language and culture close to heart, Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali on 3 July, 2003 established the NTV.
The television channel celebrated its third anniversary by sharing the joy of its success with employees, patrons and well-wishers.
The NTV authorities also organised a radiance programme for the employees, where they enjoyed cultural programme and took part in several events, and raffle draws.
Veteran journalist Ataus Samad was also present during the celebration bash and handed over prize among the raffle draw winner.
Renowned band Souls and musicians Palash and Rizia Sultana perform during the cultural programme.
Noted socialites, political leaders and cultural figures attended the ceremony as honourable guests and some of the guests addressed the audience.
After the programme, NTV Chairman Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali, in his speech, said, ‘We have not established this television only for business purpose. It was established to serve the country because it is our responsibility.’
‘Today, I’m happy to announce that we are going to launch another television station at the soonest.’
The NTV Chairman also assured the employees that to mark the television channels successful third year his company will give them three bonuses. Generally, NTV provide two festival bonuses to its employees on the occasion of two Eids.
Later, Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali along with the guests cut a spectacular cake to celebrate the occasion.
