Dhaka: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday inaugurated the manufacturing works of air-conditioned (AC) and non-AC buses of Ifad Autos Limited, country’s leading manufacturer of motor vehicle body.

The minister inaugurated the manufacturing works at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital.

‘Government has taken various steps to improve passenger services on the highway including constructing new roads and reconstructing the exciting ones,’ said the minister at the programme.

Iftekhar Ahmed Tipu, Chairman of Ifad Group and Balachandaran Venkat Subramaniam, senior vice-presicent of Ashok-Leyland were present at the ceremony.
