Dhaka: The government has given permission to 41 organisations to export 2.77 lakh bales of raw jutes as the exporters applied seeking the government approval.

The 41 organisations would get the opportunity against 251 Letter of Credits issued before 3 November 2015 to export the raw jute under the decision, said a release obtained in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The government issued a notification stopping the export of raw jute until it will issue reorder to enforce the Mandatory Jute Packaging Act 2010.
