Bangladesh withdraws ban on raw jute export
Dhaka: The government has lifted its ban imposed on the export of raw jute with effect from April 3.
The Textiles and Jute Ministry issued a circular on Monday in this regard.
Earlier on December 3 last, the government banned the export of raw jute in order to strictly implement the Mandatory Jute Packaging Act 2010.
Following requests from the exporters, the government on January 7 permitted 41 organisations to export 2.77 lakh bales of raw jute.
