Dhaka: Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Wednesday said the capital market is now stable than before as the government has taken various initiatives to bring back stability of the market.

‘The capital market will reach a more stable position in future,’ he said while addressing as the chief guest a seminar on ‘Bangladesh Capital Market: Present Scenario and Future Prospect’ at Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, reports UNB.

State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman M Khairul Hossain were present as special guests.

Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA) organised the seminar with BMBA Chairman M. Sayadur Rahman in the chair.

Muhith said the investment of the capital market is gradually increasing and added the government is giving special attention to the capital market to help it reach a good position.
