Dhaka: Syngenta Bangladesh Limited declared 25 percent cash dividend for 2014. The dividend was announced at the 15th annual general meeting (AGM) of the company, held Saturday at its Learning and Development Center in Bogra.

Mohamad Iqbal, Chairman of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) and the chairman of the Board of Directors of Syngenta Bangladesh Limited presided over the meeting, said a press release.

At the meeting, Managing Director of Syngenta Bangladesh Limited Sazzadul Hassan handed over a cheque against the dividend to the BCIC chairman. Directors from BCIC and Syngenta Bangladesh Limited attended the AGM.

The state-owned BCIC shared 40 percent of Bangladesh operation of the Switzerland-based multi-national company.
