Bkash, Kaymu sign deal to facilitate online mobile payments

Dhaka: bKash Limited, a leading financial service provider, have signed an agreement with Kaymu Bangladesh, one of the country’s leading online shopping communities, through which customers shopping on Kaymu.com.bd can now pre-pay for their products using bKash.
This ensures safer transactions for the customer as Kaymu holds onto the money until the buyer confirms delivery and quality of the product. Rezaul Hossain, Chief Commercial Officer of bKash Limited and Hendrik Chasse, Country Manager, Kaymu Bangladesh signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
“The Bkash agreement is a landmark deal for Kaymu as we are introducing mobile payments on our site for the first time,” said Hendrik Chasse. “We are confident that this will facilitate more secure transactions while giving customers an additional payment option. We are excited to kick off this partnership with special deals for Eid.”
Bkash customers can already pay bills, taxi fares and top up balances and shop both offline and now online, from Kaymu’s wide range of products.
Golam Anjumanarul Islam, Head of Business Sales, Bkash and Asif Ahmed, Head of Marketing, Bkash were present at the event. Quazi Zulquarnain Islam, Deputy Managing Director for Kaymu Bangladesh and Syed Salman, Finance Manager were also present for Kaymu.
Launched in 2011, bKash, which provides complete mobile financial services to people is a joint venture of BRAC Bank, US based Money in Motion, World Bank’s private sector investment arm IFC and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
