Parliament Building: Parliament passed the 'Khulna Agricultural University Bill 2015' aiming to expand agriculture-related higher education as well as research, technology invention and transfer.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid moved the Bill in the House which was passed by voice vote.

According to the Bill, the University will be established in Khulna district and its Vice Chancellor will be appointed for four years and not for more than two terms.
