Dhaka: The second merit list of students for admissions into Class-XI for the academic session of 2015-16 was published on Monday.

The merit was uploaded on the Education Ministry website in the afternoon, Dhaka Education Board chairman Professor Abu Bakar Siddique told UNB over phone.

Some 17,647 students found their names on the second merit list and they will have to get admitted into their chosen colleges on Tuesday and Wednesday, he said.

Besides, those who failed to get enrolled in any college can apply for admissions into 10 colleges on 9-10 July.

On 29 June, the first merit list for college admissions for the academic session 2015-16 was published on the ministry website.

A total of 11.56 lakh students applied for admissions as college enrolment has been based on results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.
