Khulna: The online admission process for bachelor’s courses in Khulna University (KU) under 2015-16 academic year will begin on 13 Sept and continue till 30 October, said a KU press release on Friday.

The decision was taken at a general meeting of the university's admission tests committee headed by KU VC Professor Dr Md. Fayequzzaman held at the VC's conference room on Wednesday.

Among others, Treasurer of KU, all Deans, Head of different departments and registrar, were present on the occasion.

The admission seekers have been asked to apply by SMS through 'Prepaid Teletalk Mobile Phone' during the schedule period.

The admission test will be held on 11 December and 12 December on KU campus.

On 11 December, admission test for Science Engineering and Technology School will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm, while Biology and Science School will be held from 2:30pm to 4:00pm and Fine Art Institute will be held on 5:00pm to 6:30pm.

On 12 December, admission test for Arts and Humanity School will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am, while Social Science School will be held from 12:30pm to 2:00pm and Management and Business Administration School will be held from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.

A total of 1118 students will be admitted to 26 disciplines under five schools and one institute.

Two new disciplines have been introduced from 2015-16 academic session. The disciplines are Human Resource Management and Journalism and Mass Communication, said the press release.
