Hero Alam’s nomination cancelled

Bagura:The nomination paper of much-talked-about independent candidate for Bagura-4 seats Ashraful Alam alias Hero Alom was turned down by the Election Commission on Sunday as he could not properly submit the signatures of one percent voters of his constituency.
Returning officer Foyez Ahmed announced his nomination paper invalid, reports the UNB.
He said Alam submitted the list of one percent voters of the constancy with his nomination form as per the condition for an independence runner. “But during scrutiny we found there are some forged signatures. That’s why we’ve rejected his nomination form.”
Hero Alam submitted his nomination paper for contesting the election from Bagura-4 seat as an independent contender as he failed to get Jatiya Party’s ticket.
In his instant reaction, Hero Alam said he will make an appeal against the returning officer’s decision. “I’m subjected to injustice through the rejection of my nomination. The signature of 3,121 candidates are sufficient as the total number of voters in my area are 3, 12,086, but I submitted the signatures of 3,500 voters.”
He also said his candidature was turned down as part of a plot against him. “I’ll stay in the field till the last as no conspiracy against me will work.”
Hero Alam, who hails from Bagura district, has settled in Erulia with his spouse and children.
He is known as an internet sensation in a hilarious way as few of his local music videos and telefilms or ‘natok’ went viral in social media over the last few years.
Hero Alam became internet focus again as he bought a nomination form of Jatiya Party to contest the nation election.
