Dhaka: The American Embassy, including consular section and the American Centre, will remain closed on Sunday and Monday in observance of Shab-e-Qadr and US Independence Day respectively.

The embassy will also remain closed on Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr are Bangladeshi national holidays, said a press release on Thursday.

However, emergency services for American citizens will be available, it said.
