Dhaka: The Department of State has urged US citizens to carefully consider the ‘risks’ of travel to Bangladesh in light of the latest attack.

‘The US government assesses that the terrorist threat is real and credible,’ the US Embassy said in an emergency message for US citizens on Thursday.

In another message, the US Embassy in Dhaka alerted US citizens to an ongoing violent incident in Kishoreganj district.

‘Please avoid the area and exercise security vigilance in all movements throughout the country. Monitor all news sources for developments,’ the message read.
