Dhaka: Bangladesh government has appointed Muhammad Ali Sorcar, currently Bangladesh Ambassador to Germany, as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to Egypt.

Besides his ambassadorial assignments in the Netherlands and Germany, he also served as Deputy Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to UN in New York and Bangladesh Embassy in Brussels, according to a Foreign Ministry media release issued on Tuesday.
