Dhaka: The US Embassy including its consular section will remain closed on 9 and 11 October on the occasion of Columbus Day, an American holiday, and in observance of Durga Puja, a Bangladeshi holiday.

The American Centre along with the Archer K. Blood American Centre Library and the EducationUSA Student Advising Centre will also remain closed.

Emergency services for American citizens will be available, said a press release on Thursday.
