The 68th Republic Day of India was celebrated by Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Thursday.

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla inaugurated the programmes through flag hoisting event at Indian High Commission that witnessed good turnout of Indian nationals in the morning.

The High Commissioner will host a reception in the evening on this occasion.

On January 26, 1950, the Constitution of India came into force, and Republic Day is celebrated to honour that day.
