MAX Super Specialty Hospital Saket in New Delhi offers special package for Liver Cirrhosis patients
The world-renowned MAX Super Specialty Hospital Saket in New Delhi has launched special treatment packages for Bangladeshis who are suffering from different chronic liver diseases . An expert team from this hospital led by Dr. Subhash Gupta visited Dhaka last Friday. He also held an OPD for liver patients in Chittagong last Saturday.
Dr. Gupta exchanged views with the people of different walks of life. Professor of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery Department of BIRDEM Hospital Dr. Mohammad Ali, who performed the first ever liver transplantation in Bangladesh, was also present at the view exchange meeting.
Dr. Mohammed Ali said, ‘In the Indian subcontinent, Dr Subhash Gupta is like an angel among the liver cirrhosis patients. The first liver transplant in Bangladesh was successfully completed at BIRDEM in 2010 where Dr. Subhash Gupta played a special role by providing technical assistance, expert surgeons and post transplant care. Since 2005, my team is getting special support from Dr Gupta. Many doctors went to India and received training from him. In one word, Dr. Subhash Gupta has played a very important role in liver transplantation (liver replacement) in our country’.
About 2300 doctors and 10,000 staffs works at 14 hospitals of Delhi based Max Healthcare. Besides, liver translation program, these hospitals offer different treatment facilities for various complicated diseases including renal, heart and bone marrow transplantation.
Under the supervision of Dr. Subhash Gupta,over 2000 successful liver transplantation have been completed successfully.
A large number of patients from Bangladesh go to India for liver transplantation and other liver related surgeries. Over 150 liver transplant have been done on Bangladeshi patients by Dr Subhash Gupta’s team.
Recently, this hospital announced various healthcare packages for Bangladeshi patients at special rates including liver transplant package (liver replacement).
In general, hepatitis B, C and Fatty liver lead to liver cirrhosis. It is a very expensive medical process. If it is timely detected, it is possible to get protection against this deadly disease.
