Dhaka: The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will provide physiotherapy services and training to the Chikungunya patients at free of cost.

"The physiotherapists will go to the patents houses after getting phone calls from the affected parsons and will provide physiotherapy services at free of cost and will also give training to the family members in this regard," DSCC Public Relation Office Uttam Kumar Roy told BSS.

DSCC Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokan will inaugurate the programme tomorrow at Nagar Bhaban at 11 am.

DSCC Chief Health Officer Sheikh Md Saleh Uddin said the DSCC has taken massive programmes to protect Chikungunya.

"We are also expediting the awareness progremme side by side with destroying mosquitoes," he said. As a result, the Chikungunya fever has decreased, he added.

Saleh said around 2,000 people have been given medical services and medicines at free of cost so far since the DSCC took the initiatives from July 16.
