Vitamin A plus campaign ends
Dhaka: Around 2.25 crore children, aged between six months and five years, were fed Vitamin A plus capsules under a national campaign on Saturday.
Health and Family Welfare Minister MohammadNasim inaugurated the campaign at Dhaka Shishu Hospital around 8 am which concluded around 4 pm.
Children, aged between six and 11 months, were given the blue-coloured high-powered Vitamin A capsules, while children, aged between 12 to 59 months, received red-coloured ones.
Children were fed vitamin A capsule at some 120,000 permanent health centres and 20,000 mobile centres across the country.
However, the campaign will continue until August 9 in remote areas of the country.
